Why Wizkid's fourth studio album will be different from his previous albums



Music artiste, Wizkid has announced his fourth studio album will soon be released.
In an interview with a British DJ Tim Westwood after his Afrorepublik concert at the O2 Arena in London, Wizkid said his fourth studio album will be titled ‘ Made in Lagos’.
According to the ‘Come Closer’ singer, the album will not feature any artiste.
“The new album is called Made in Lagos, Wizkid Made in Lagos; 10 tracks, no features just straight Wizkid,” he said.
“My collaboration with Skepta is also in the works, it will drop very soon. I don’t want to say anything more on that.”
Wizkid, who headlined a sold-out concert at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena, said he owed the success of the event to artistes and producers who made the world believe in African music.
Speaking on his relationship with folks in Surulere where he grew up, he said he loves going back to his “hood”.
He said, “Every time I go back, I’m always in my hood. I like to hang out with them, let them feel me and know that it’s not magic. If I can do it then you can. I like to inspire the kids.”

New information on the circumstances that led to the death of D'banj son

More details have been released concerning the circumstances surrounding the death of D’banj’s son, Daniel D’third died. According to reports, sources close to the couple revealed that Daniel was playing with a couple of family friends who paid them a visit at their residence in Ikoyi Lagos on Sunday, June 24th when the boy wandered away into the backyard where he fell into the pool. His mother who left the boy with grown kids believing that they are capable of taking care of him later learned that the boy body was found inside the pool. He was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state where he was certified dead. As at the time of this report, his father was in Los Angeles California for the 2018 BET Awards. The body of the late infant has been transferred to the mortuary.

Wizkid booked up for the next three years

NIGERIAN singer Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has revealed that he has been booked for shows for the next three years. The ‘Soco’ crooner made the announcement on his Twitter handle @wizkidayo, where he wrote, “booked for three years”. Wizkid has released several hit tracks this year including ‘Soco’, ‘Fake Love’, ‘Manya’ and ‘Nowo’. ‘Soco’, in which he featured Ceeza Mili, Spotless and Terri, is a fast-paced Afro-beat tune that has grown to become the most favourite song for the ‘Shaku Shaku’ dance. In February 2014, Wizkid became the first ever Nigerian musician to have over 1 million followers on Twitter. He went on to become the first Afro-beat artiste to appear in the 2018 Guinness World Records, for his contribution to Drake’s hit song ‘One Dance’. The 27-year- old recently sold out the O2 hall in London and is set to release a much-anticipated album later in 2018.
